Bettona, Umbria
The attractive hilltop town of Bettona forms the southern angle of an upside-down triangle, with Perugia and Assisi forming the other two angles. Bettona has an ancient past as an Etruscan city and Roman municipium, in fact Etruscan stone fortifications can still be traced in its northern walls. Here are also to be found all essential shops, bars, chemists and bank. Four kilometres away, on the side of a gently sloping hill, is Il Roseto del Poggio.
