Villa Renate is a grand and beautifully furnished property enhanced by a large, furnished terrace, which is illuminated at night, and looks out admiringly over the fairytale woodland that is its own private park.

Once inside, the classically furnished airy rooms are spacious and grandiose. Yet in winter, especially at Christmas, they become cosy and inviting thanks to the preponderance of carpets, rugs and the living room’s open fireplace.

Entry to this luxurious villa is through electric gates into the spacious parking area. The front door of Villa Renate opens into a large, spectacular hallway with staircase. Off to the right is the very spacious living room with its cosy, impressive fireplace, windows on three sides and balcony access. On the left of the hallway are a beautifully furnished, elegant dining room and a recently refurbished, modern, well-equipped kitchen with hob, oven, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. Steps down from the hall lead to the ground floor and a refurbished bathroom with bathtub and WC etc.

The centrepiece of the luxuriously carpeted first floor is a magnificently decorated and spacious landing. Off to the left is a sumptuous double bedroom with its own large balcony. Next door is a double/twin bedroom. Back over the landing to the right is a large bathroom with bath, separate shower cabinet, WC and balcony access, and another double/twin bedroom with its own balcony.

Please note: there is a final cleaning charge of 150 Euros payable locally. Part of the ground floor is accessed separately and may sometimes be occupied by the owner.

This elegant country house is also in the ideal setting to discover the very best of the Italian Lake District: dramatically beautiful Lake Como, Varese and Maggiore. Whilst only 3 kilometers away from the from the Swiss border, the villa is a mere ten minute walk from the quaint market town of Viggiu, where a variety of shops, banks and restaurants can be found. Golfers will be delighted by nearby Golf Club Varese, whose exclusive greens boast spectacular views of Mount Rosa, and Lakes Maggiore and Varese.

Lake Como is one of the deepest lakes in Europe (400 meters deep). Shaped like an upside-down “Y”, is located in the Italian Lombardy region.

The northern branch begins at the town of Colico, while Lecco (a bigger industrialized town) is located on the south-eastern branch. The smaller towns of Bellagio, Menaggio, Tramezzo, Cadenabbia and Varenna are situated in the middle, and are the most popular resorts of the Lake.

Lake Garda, the largest lake in Italy, located between Venice and Milan, is an alpine region, accessible easily from the north via the Brenner pass. There are many holiday resorts like Sirmione, Desenzano, Riva, Gardone Riviera, and Malcesine.

If travelling with children, you will enjoy daytrips to Gardaland, an amusement park located between Bardolino and Peschiera.
