Property details
A simple, lovely cottage, ideal for those clients requiring a touch more on site service and entertainment.
The central focus of this agriturismo is a delightful beamed restaurant serving breakfasts, lunches and dinners, and a large elevated swimming pool, complete with immense sea views, both of which are for the use of all guests.
Several modern-style cottages are located around the restaurant and pool. Our cottage is about one hundred yards away, up a gently ascending hill. Ever anxious to please, the friendly family organise special fun evenings based around the local cuisine, or their pizza oven and barbecue. Guests are welcome to attend these or not, as the fancy takes them.
The cottage itself has simple, good quality furnishings throughout. You enter directly into the living/dining room with a well-equipped kitchen corner. There is one twin bedroom with separate shower room and WC, and another double bedroom with an ensuite shower room and WC.
Please note: there is a final cleaning charge of 30 Euros payable locally.

Location
Silvi, Teramo, Abruzzo
This is a family-run agriturismo in a fabulous position, near the little town of Silvi, on hills that slope gently down to the Adriatic Sea.
The bustling city of Pescara, with its hundreds of shops and airport, is a fifteen minute drive from Lo Scricciolo. Less hectic by far, Silvi is 2 kilometres, and the Adriatic coast, with its succession of long sandy beaches for great bathing, is a mere 6 kilometres.
Why Holiday in Abruzzo?
Traditionally visitors to Italy prefer the "picture postcard" beauty of the north, but to travel to Abruzzo and other southern regions is to witness a traditional Italian lifestyle that has not changed for centuries. Here you'll find ancient beechwood forests inhabited by wolves and bears, century-old pathways still used by colourfully-attired shepherds and their flocks, ominous castles which now guard nothing but desolate stretches of wilderness where the only sign of life might be a soaring royal eagle or a lone family of mountain goats.
Though Italians traditionally think of Abruzzo as a remote, mountainous region, its eastern border is marked by vast sandy beaches stretching along the Adriatic north and south of Pescara. Venture west from here and you will indeed soon enter the hills, which rise quickly to become the infamous Abruzzo mountains, dotted with some of the least visited hill towns in Italy.
This is what our grandmothers called God's country, site of the vast and extremely well administered Abruzzo National Park, one of the most important in all of Europe. Nearby is the newly-designated Maiella National Park, along with several regional parks. Flora and fauna abound in these protected areas, where thick forests and flowering meadows give way to barren high plains and snow-capped granite peaks. Europe's southernmost glacier, the Calderone, extends from Corno Grande to Corno Piccolo, in the shadow of Gran Sasso, the tallest point on the Italian peninsula.
The region is served with direct flights to Pescara, although Rome and Ancona are handy alternatives.
Vivid Italy is your perfect choice for a holiday in Abruzzo. In Abruzzo we have villas, apartments and hotels ideal for your holiday.
How To Get There
The region is served by direct flights to Ancona and Pescara airports. You can take direct flights from Stansted and Luton to Ancona and Pescara with Ryanair, from Monday-Sunday.
Alternatively, it is easy to fly to Rome and enjoy the hour and a half drive across the mountains and national parks running down the spine of Italy, going due east from Lazio into Abruzzo. You can fly to Rome with low-cost carriers from most UK airports.
