Casa Adriana comprises of a detached main villa, and private pool for the guests, and the owner-architect's separate house and office. Casa Adriana's impressive main entrance leads straight ahead into a well-equipped kitchen, complete with stove, oven, sink and fridge/freezer, everything you need to prepare traditional rustic fare. Turning right here you will find a guest WC. Continuing on from the kitchen, you will find yourself in a spacious, cool and beamed sitting/dining room with large French windows providing a view over the pool, which sits in a small garden with covered outside eating area and bar, solarium terrace and off-road private parking. The pool (10m x 5m x 1.8m) and the poolside area are for the exclusive use of guests although the owner's house does have large windows looking onto the pool.
Stairs lead up to the first floor accommodation, which comprises one small double-bedded room, one bathroom with WC, one single-bedded room and one double-bedded room complete with fireplace, ideal for cosy nights in. It should be noted that, the owner does have a very friendly, untethered and quiet dog, a benefit for all who are fond of our canine cousins.
Casa Adriana spectacularly overlooks the town of Corinaldo, which has all the essential shops, banks and chemists just 2 kilometers away. Off the typical tourist trail, this town is full of charm and history waiting to be discovered and the superb location gives you an amazing base, from which to do this. Guests easily delight in The Festa del Pozzo della Polenta, or Feast of the Polenta Well, is in memory of a thief who made off with a sack of maize flour and, fearing he would soon be caught, tipped his booty into a fountain. With this tenuous theme, the good people of Corinaldo feast on delicious local fare every third Sunday in July. The owner is an expert on local cultural matters and guests can take advantage of this by arranging a guided tour of the area, at extra cost. After exploring all the cultural heritage on offer, relax on one of the beautiful expanses of beach, found at Senigallia, a mere 18 kilometers away.
Direct Ryanair flights depart from Stansted to Ancona and Pescara, Mondays-Sundays.
