With a covered outside eating area with barbecue and outside shower, the modern Casa Marika is terraced but reasonably sized for two people. The main entrance leads into the living/dining room which also has satellite television. There is a fully equipped kitchen area with fridge/freezer, double sink unit, four gas rings, electric oven and washing machine (payable locally). There is also a comfortable, compact double bedroom and a bathroom with WC. Ample private parking is available behind the house.
Please note: the cost of hiring a cot is 50 Euros per week, and there is a final cleaning charge of 50 Euros, both payable locally. Please advise your flight details and estimated time of arrival at least five days prior to departure. Late arrivals after 20:00 are charged at 25 Euros.
An idyllic location for a couple who want a beach holiday, Casa Marika has uninterrupted paths leading the 50 meters through low dunes and bushes to the amazing 8 kilometre stretch of golden beach at Costa Rei. From the garden gate you can be at the beach in a mere 30 minutes.
Cagliari, Sardinia's capital is 60 kilometres due west of Costa Rei, taking the picturesque coast road. It is a port-city with all manner of attractions. A great strating point to explore the city is the Marina district, boasting the Via Roma. This elegant arcaded thoroughfare is fabulous for shopping and houses the Town Hall, an amazing sight, an architectural mish-mash of Aragonese-Gothic and Art Nouveau.
There are direct flights from the UK to Cagliari, Alghero and Olbia.
From Gatwick you can fly to Cagliari with Easyjet.
From East Midlands, Liverpool, Dublin, Luton and Stansted you can fly to Alghero with Ryanair. With Thomson you can fly from Birmingham and Gatwick.
From Gatwick you can fly with Thomson and Easyjet to Olbia. Easyjet also flies from Bristol. There are direct Ryanair flights from Birmingham, and Air France flights from Heathrow, to Olbia. Jet2 flies from Leeds/Bradford to Olbia. Olbia can also be reached from Manchester by various carriers.
An island with an extraordinary history, Sardinia is stunning with deep-etched valleys, forested slopes and imposing mountain ranges. The much-touted costline actually lives up to the hype, providing white sandy beaches trailing off into a turquiose sea.
Direct flights go to Cagliari (in the south), Olbia (in the north east) or Alghero (on the north west). We have indicated the most convenient airport against each property, but the island is relatively small with decent roads.
