Tucked away behind high walls and gates, this villa provides for all your needs. The private, covered outside eating area has a barbecue and is surrounded by a mature vine-clad pergolato, lawned gardens, palms, cypresses, and all manner of tropical plants. Here you can enjoy al fresco dining, complete with a bottle of Sicilian wine. Double gates allow access to this villa, and there is ample parking available.
From the tree-lined main avenue it is just five steps up to the front door, which leads into the hall. Villa Vita Bella has a kitchen/diner equipped with a hob, oven and fridge/freezer. The sitting room is large and airy with satellite television. There is one ensuite double bedroom and one twin bedroom, both with pretty iron beds. The bathroom has a half-bath.
The shared, furnished swimming pool measures 12m x 6m and has a depth 1.5m x 2.8m. However, the beach is only 3km away for more natural bathing or simply a change of scenery.
Please note: the friendly owner lives on site and occasionally uses the large marquee as a centre for various ceremonies such as wedding receptions and birthday celebrations.
Arrivals after 20.00 hours will be charged at 50 Euros. There is a cot hire charge of 50 Euros per week, and a final cleaning charge of 80 Euros, both payable locally.
It feels like a village within a village, tucked away behind high walls and gates. And finally an air of exotic seclusion, provided by a coolly mature vine-clad pergolato, lawned gardens, palms, cypresses, a swimming pool and all manner of tropical plants. Within this enclave, various buildings, amongst which houses and a chapel, lead off from a shady tree-lined avenue, as does our single-floor house. For a wealth of 'foreign' diversion however, Sicily's second city, Catania, with its airport and palaces, many made from Mount Etna's black lava stone, is but four kilometres away.
Direct flights from the UK go to Palermo and Catania airports.
For Palermo, Easyjet flies from Gatwick and Ryanair from Stansted. Alitalia also flies from Heathrow.
From Gatwick you can take British Airways, Monarch and Thomson flights to Catania. From Manchester you can fly with Monarch and Thomas Cook.
Additionally, Ryanair fly from direct from Birmingham and Dublin to Trapani.
