La Montanina (Apartment in Castiglion Fiorentino, Tuscany, Italy)

Surrounded by wooded hills, immersed in the gorgeous countryside, La Montanina will delight and enchant you.

Up a steep, short unmade road La Montanina invites you to rest amongst its picturesque country setting. The three detached cottages have been lovingly restored and guests share the swimming pool, which has been idyllically placed to share the pleasing vista.

Each warm, fawn stone cottage has its own furnished terrace perfect for al fresco dining. Although there is central heating, each cottage has a large open fireplace. A laundry room on site is also available.

Cottage II Seccatoio - sleeps 3 (1 double bedroom, 1 single bedroom)

The living room has an impressive open fireplace, and the kitchen/diner has a cooker, oven and fridge. You can enter the garden from the kitchen and from the double bedroom. There is also a single bedroom and a shower room with WC etc.

Cottage Candepala - sleeps 3 (1 double bedroom, 1 single bedroom)

From the covered terrace, you enter the kitchen/diner which has a cooker, oven and fridge. The airy living room has a large open fireplace. There is a single bedroom and a shower room with WC etc. The double bedroom has double aspect windows and fantastic views.

Cottage II Forno - sleeps 3 (1 double bedroom, 1 single bedroom)

With a pizza oven in the front, you enter an attractive living room. The dining room/kitchen has a cooker, oven and fridge. The shower room has a WC, etc. There is a single bedroom with an outside access door and a small terrace. On the upper floor you will find a second living room, with a cosy open fireplace and double bedroom.

Castiglion Fiorentino, Tuscany

Castiglion Fiorentino, with its medieval street plan and relaxed atmosphere, is 8kms away.

Midway between the historic towns of Arezzo and Cortona, Lake Trasimeno is within sensible driving distance. The main features of the green countryside are the numerous prosperous farms and the prized cattle breed called Chianina, named after the valley below.

How To Get There

There are direct flights to Florence and Pisa from several airports in the UK.

You can fly from Gatwick to Florence on most days with Meridiana.

From Bristol, Gatwick and Luton you can take an Easyjet flight to Pisa on most days including weekends. Gatwick also has a British Airways flight to Pisa on the weekends.

From Glasgow, Edinburgh, Bournemouth, East Midlands and Birmingham you can take a Ryanair flight to Pisa. Their flights from Stansted, Liverpool and Dublin leave Monday-Sunday.

With Jet2 you can fly from Leeds/Bradford, Belfast, Edinburgh, Newcastle and Manchester to Pisa.
