A characteristic farm building near the owners villa, Lo Strettoio has been overhauled to offer two very pleasant accommodations, one ground floor (Apartment Lecci) and one on the first floor (Apartment L'Olivo). Creative design has allowed for the original features to be reserved while adding modern furnishings. There is a laundry room with washing machine for the use of guests and bicycles are available at no extra cost.
A spacious, furnished terrace is available to both apartments and has a large sun shade. A swimming pool is also available for guests use. For your convenience, there is a covered parking area and for further entertainment the owners have provided a ping pong table.

Apartment L'Olivo has a similar layout and equipment to Apartment Lecci, but is accessed by stairs. However, it does have an un-overlooked solarium balcony.
Lo Strettoio is 1 km from San Gusme and 3 km from the agricultural town of Castelnouvo Berardenga where there are the remains of a 14th century castle. Both places have shops and banks, although San Gusme is smaller. This is the heart of Chianti country, full of ancient, medieval castles and fortified residences. The road which tours the wine route passes through many vineyards and olive groves and many of them offer direct sales to the public. Siena, city of steep, with medieval alleys surrounding the Piazza del Campo is approximately 23 kilometres away. Florence is just a one hour drive away.
There are direct flights to Florence and Pisa from several airports in the UK.
You can fly from Gatwick to Florence on most days with Meridiana.
From Bristol, Gatwick and Luton you can take an Easyjet flight to Pisa on most days including weekends. Gatwick also has a British Airways flight to Pisa on the weekends.
From Glasgow, Edinburgh, Bournemouth, East Midlands and Birmingham you can take a Ryanair flight to Pisa. Their flights from Stansted, Liverpool and Dublin leave Monday-Sunday.
With Jet2 you can fly from Leeds/Bradford, Belfast, Edinburgh, Newcastle and Manchester to Pisa.
